The AGM of the Association was held in person and by zoom on Thursday 12 October 2023.
In his annual report, President Hon Peter Dunne referred to the use of zoom to facilitate executive meetings, the importance of keeping in touch with members through the newsletter The Informer and the recently launched website (www.afmpnz.org.nz), the Association-hosted event in Auckland with guest speaker, Deputy Mayor of Auckland, Desley Simpson, the triennial secondary schools’ essay competition, the reception to be hosted by the Governor General, the development of the relationship with the New Zealand Business and Parliament Trust, the removal of the Association’s office space in the Parliamentary complex, the role of the Association and those former members who have died in the past year.
